We are currently looking to hire a dedicated and eager professional for our Customer Support team. Our Support Team is the face
our customers see and is expected to respond to all customer inquiries with service that is prompt, courteous, accurate and helpful.
Current Positions Available:
Internet Technician
You will be directly responsible for service and billing inquiries, logging notes in a timely and accurate manner and providing
in-house customer service when necessary. Support Technicians are expected to maintain knowledge of all products and services offered by Sentex.
Outline of Responsibilities
Answer incoming telephone calls for technical support, billing and sales inquiries
Assist walk in customers with equipment testing, ordering, billing inquiries and hardware delivery
Complete emailed ticketing requests for technical support, billing, and sales
Troubleshoot connectivity and network issues for VPN devices deployed nationwide
Diagnose multiple O/S server issues for co-located equipment
Troubleshoot email issues at the server and client levels
Our Customer Support Reps need to have:
Excellent problem solving skills
Strong knowledge of internet applications (browsers, mail clients)
Familiarity with internet connectivity and the hardware associated with internet connections
Excellent oral and written communication
Strong work ethic and a desire to constantly improve
Solid understanding of networks and network troubleshooting tools within the UNIX environment
Successful candidates will possess some or all of the following qualifications:
Post Secondary Education; College /University or equivalent experience
Technical Certifications; MCP, MCSE, A+, NET+, Linux+, CCNA
Working knowledge of MS Windows XP/Vista, Server 2000/2003, FreeBSD, Linux, Mac O/S
Hardware Experience; Home based PC.s, DSL modems, Routers, Switches
Programming; JAVA, HTML, PERL, ASP, PHP
At Sentex, Customer Support Technicians are supported directly by seven other team members as well as many more senior employees.
"You're never alone and there is never a problem we can't fix!" In order to meet customer demand, support operates seven days a week, Monday through
Friday, between 9 am and 11 pm and weekends 9am to 9pm. As such you will be required to work a variety of shifts, some weekends and statutory
holidays as needed. Our schedule is crafted with you in mind to offer the best possible rotation!
