What makes the Argylls so special is not just the training; it is also the fact that we play as a team on and off the battlefield.

The unit has its own pub, called the Pheasant Plucker, in downtown Hamilton, and it has all sorts of Argyll memorabilia hanging on the walls. Basically, it's the place we call home.

Members of the unit also organize a number of sports teams, including soccer, rugby, and hockey. This year, the Argylls is looking to enter an Argyll hockey team in a number of DND tournaments and has entered a team in a local rec league. The unit also holds sporting events, such as regular ball hockey games and golf tournaments.
