Sentex
is proud to present “SpamAssassin”
(a SPAM email blocking program for Sentex subscribers).
SpamAssassin
is a reliable, easy to use program that automatically identifies unwanted
emails as Spam. It works by labeling emails with "suspicious"
characteristics (such as a blocked return address) as well as emails from
known SPAM lists. This allows SPAM to be blocked by Sentex preventing it from arriving in your inbox.
To enable SpamAssassin for blocking (flushing) suspicious emails, please follow the instructions below.
1. Close Outlook Express (or your regular mail reader).
Then go
to
the following web address: https://ssl3.sentex.ca/horde/ to login to Horde
(IMP) webmail.

2.
Configure
SpamAssassin:
Once
logged into Horde, enter the SpamAssassin management area by clicking on
this link - SpamAssassin.
You
can also enter
the SpamAssasin management area by clicking on the SpamAssasin Icon located
near the bottom of the main screen.

Once you have entered the SpamAssasin management area, specify the general
SpamAssasin options as shown in the following screenshot.

Once
you have modified the settings accordingly, click the 'Save Changes' button.
3.
Enable the Sentex SPAM Filtering:
Then click Enable/Disable icon at the top left of the screen.
Then select Enable spam tagging AND select Enable spam flushing. Type your password and click submit.

SpamAssasin
is now configured to BLOCK SPAM!
