Filtering SPAM in Apple Mail

The Apple e-mail client can be configured to read incoming e-mail headers and filter messages to different folders based on these headers. E-mails that pass through Sentex, and are considered to be SPAM, are marked as having SPAM content in the hidden header area of the message.

  2. Select New Mailbox... from the Mailbox menu.

  3. In the name field, type (without the quotes) “suspected_spam”.

  4. Click OK.

  6. On the Preferences window, click on the Rules button. The window will assume the name Rules.

  7. On the Rules window, click on the Add Rule button.
