The Outlook 2000 e-mail client can be configured to
recognize incoming e-mails with headers that suggest the e-mail is Spam.
To have Outlook 2000 transfer the suspected SPAM e-mails
to the folder “suspected_spam”, follow these steps:

Start Outlook 2000.

Select Rules Wizard from the Tools
menu.

Click New.
-
Select “Check messages when they arrive”
then click Next.

Check the option “with specific words
in message header”.

In the Rule description box, click on the link “specific
words”.

Type (without the quotes) “X-Spam-Status:
Yes” and click OK.

Click Next.
-
Check the options “move it to the specified
folder” and “stop processing more rules”.

In the Rule description box, click on the link “specified”.
-
Click on New to define a new folder
and the Create New Folder Window will appear.

Select a place where you wish to place the folder.
Note: IMAP users may wish to select an online folder.

Type (without the quotes) “suspected_spam” in the Name
field.

Click OK.

Select the suspected_spam folder, then click OK.

Click Next.
-
Click Next. -
Specify the name (without the quotes) “SPAM
filter” as the rule name. Click Finish.
To view the hidden e-mail headers do the following:
After you open a message, select Options from the
message's View menu. The headers are displayed in the Internet
headers field.
