I write a political opinion column every two weeks for the Guelph Tribune. The most recent one is right here, waiting for you. You can read all of them, dating back to September, 1995, in the column archives.

I try to make the time to read as much as I can. I buy my books at The Bookshelf, a great book store in the heart of downtown Guelph. After the shopping is over, you can have a meal in their restaurant, a pint in the Green Room, check your e-mail or shoot some pool in the e-bar, or catch a movie in the cinema.

If you can't get to the store, I've linked this site to Chapters.Indigo.ca for you. You can buy from them right here.

Take a look at some of the books on my shelves. I recommend them, and I think you'll like them.

We went through a federal and a municipal election last year. The municipal one turned out well for those of us who live here in Guelph. Federally, it didn't go as well as we hoped. We ran a strong local campaign and held onto our share of public support. A couple of points better than the average NDP result. With a couple of years between now and the next provincial election, it is time for some community building. We're using the Guelph-Wellington NDP Riding Association web site as one of our tools. Take a look.

We also have some time now to take a serious look at Proportional Representation as a method of electing our governments. It's an idea whose time has come.

Get to know a little more about me - my work, my hobbies, my interests. Take a look at a page from my life.
