Family History Details

Paschal Glazer was a farmer, of German ethnic origin [12]. Some researchers have suggested that Paschal Glazer's father was a Hessian soldier in the service of the Britain during the American War of Independence (1775-1783). Some of these soldiers were offered land to settle on in Canada after the war was over.

At the time of the 1881 census, Paschal and Catherine were living with the family of their daughter Élisabeth Arsenault (also farmers).
