Family History Details
In 1901 at age 13, Joseph was employed as a labourer at a colliery (coal plant).
Joseph died from complications arising from minor surgery, only a few weeks after he was married [1]
Joseph was an accomplished violinist, and had acquired a valuable antique violin, which was passed on to Horace Revell and Horace's son Alfred Revell learned to play it. The violin was probably sold by Horace eventually, as it is not believed to be in the family any longer.
