Grace, Sarah A., and Ann) lived at "Street Side", Tong. John and Joseph were both employed as coal
miners and Nathaniel is listed as a joiner. In this census, the family name
was recorded as "Ravel".
In 1851 (census), this family (John & Elizabeth and younger daughters
Grace, Sarah A., and Ann) lived at Bower Green, Bradford, West Yorkshire.
John was retired from coal mining, and the three girls were employed as
worsted power loom weavers. By this time, John the son and Nathan had their own families elsewhere in Bradford,
and Joseph had started a family in Farnley.
In 1861 (census), John & Elizabeth were living at Cross Lane, Farnley,
West Yorkshire, the village where their son Joseph had lived since at least
1851.
