  2. Isaac Joynson, born circa 1841, Audley Staffs.
  3. Martha Joynson, born circa 1844, Audley Staffs.

Family History Details

This family was at Halmerend Staffordshire for the 1831 householders list, and 1861 and 1871 censuses. In 1871 they lived at High Road. Hamlet I was listed as a collier (coal miner) in both censuses.

Martha was listed as a school-teacher (in training?) in the 1861 census, age 17. Richard & Hannah's grandsons Thomas and Richard Dix were living at the Joynson household in 1871. In 1881 these boys were living with Hamlet & Sarah at Abram, Lancashire. Thomas's place of birth was listed as Audley, Staffs, but Richard's was Burslem, Stafforshire.
