Warm greetings to you in the name of our sovereign and gracious Lord!
Carey Outreach Ministries has been raised up by God to seek
to serve the church of Christ by training spiritual leaders in developing
third-world countries. Careys mission is in three strategic
areas: Carey School of Theology, Carey Printing Press and the Carey
Church Extension Programme.
In response to the ever-growing global need of training spiritual
leaders, 1997 saw our first School of Theology opened its doors
to over 40 students in Constanta, Romania. Maintaining our policy
to serve the Church, the School is administered by the Constanta
Baptist Association.
Having spent five years building solid foundations in Romania (1997-2001),
2001 saw the Lord open a number of exciting doors across the globe
for theological education. As an example, we started our second
Bible Institute in Iloilo, Philippines with 72 students! Once again,
in order to serve the church the Carey school is administered locally
by the Conservative Bible Believers Ministers Fellowship,
representing over 37 pastors.
Opportunities to bring theological education are ever knocking
on the Carey door. We hope not only to bring theological education
to our existing Institutes in the Philippines, Cuba and Nepal
but also to network in Cambodia, Mongolia and Hungary.
How does Carey serve overseas? Carey sends suitably qualified
lecturers overseas to teach spiritual leaders on a two/three-week
modular basis. We are pleased to say, that through this mechanism,
disruption to ministry in the local church and family relationships
are almost eliminated. Spiritual leaders in fact receive training
not only whilst engaged in their existing God-given ministries
but also within their own God-given cultural context.
We are currently engaged in building suitable resources for the
church. Namely, books, manuals, audio and visual resources etc.
This is designed to enhance and enrich the learning experience
of our students, as well as build future resources for their church
related ministries.
Once again in order to serve the church, we desire to establish
a financial seed fund enabling our graduates to church plant.
Currently we have no plans to minister in Canada, although we
are not excluded from this. However, our primary vision and burden
remains overseas.
Friends, we value your partnership as we seek to enrich, empower
and encourage spiritual leaders through Biblical truth.
Soli Deo Gloria.
