Basic Instructor Canoe Course $475-

This is the course for aspiring camp counsellors and outdoor educators, etc., aged 16 and over. This 48-hour program provides successful participants with Basic ORCA Instructor Certification. You are taught how to prepare successful lesson plans, teach paddling techniques, equipment care, rescues, etc. ORCA membership and an Instructor manual are included. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and should habe qualifications in swimming, first aid and CPR. Classes are offered during the last two weekends of May and September.
