Dark Fall: Lights Out

2004 XXv Productions

I get the feeling I missed something, story-wise. The antagonist seemed to be
simply a defective computer program. There's no malevolent intent, just a cold
indifference and accidental objectives. The gradual realisation of this as you
gather the story in the end-game robs the finale of any punch: you're no
longer confronting a foe, but helping a confused entity. Furthermore, since
that entity is not a living, feeling thing, there's no sympathetic reaction to
its plight.
