  • Sunburst Award site - a juried award for Canadian SF written in english. First award was presented in 2001.
  • Quelques pages sur la Science-Fiction (Quarante-Deux web site) - lists SF Awards for work in the French language (info on Boréal, Grand Prix de la science fiction et du fantasique québécois and other Canadian awards)
  • AwardWeb - Large collection of award information (such as the Nebulas, Hugos, Auroras, etc...)
  • Made in Canada. - a starting point on the web for Canadian SF. Not updated as often as it once was.
  • The Locus Index - an excellent research tool for anyone interested in SF, and Fantasy novels & stories published in english for 1984 onwards.

  • Toronto Trek - Hosted the 2000 Prix Aurora Awards and will host again for 2006
  • VCON - Vancouver area con. Hosted the 2001 Prix Aurora Awards (and the pre-Aurora's in 1981 and 1986)
  • Con*cept - A Montreal convention. Hosted the 1998 Prix Aurora Awards.
  • www.torcon3.on.ca - the SF Worldcon was held in Toronto in 2003 (and hosted the Prix Aurora Awards). Last site update: Jan/2004
  • Wilfcon (1984-1994) - Hosted the 1992 Prix Aurora Awards in Waterloo, Ontario.

  • Neo-opsis Science Fiction Magazine - a digest sized SF magazine published in BC
  • On Spec - this digest sized SF magazine has won several Aurora Awards.
  • Solaris - this SF french language magazine has won numerous Prix Aurora Awards.
  • EDGE Science Fiction & Fantasy Publishing / Tesseract Books - Tesseract Books was originally a Canadian publisher specializing in SF & fantasy (mid-1980's). Now an imprint of Edge Publishing (based in Calgary).

  • Snow Crystals -not a Canadian site, but it certainly fits. The beautiful (and science) side of snow.
  • Yellow Pages Dinner Club (of Kitchener-Waterloo) -a club that ate their way through the Yellow Pages of Kitchener-Waterloo at a rate of one restaurant per week. Site is out of date (the club is still active in 2006 checking out new restaurants and the occasional old one).
