If you grew up in the early
80's like I did, then no doubt you read the New Teen Titans. I always loved
Perez's work and Starfire was one of my favourite characters. When I met
Romeo Tanghal at the 1998 San Diego Comic Con I couldn't believe he still
had pages from when he worked on the Titans. As I approached Romeo's table
he was admiring this very page. As I started looking through the pile of
art he remarked that he couldn't remember how he managed to make the page
look so great. Well I added the great part I think Romeo said something
to the effect of he didn't know how he "did it". Needless to say I'm very
happy to finally have a page of George and Romeo's art in my collection. |
