RELIGION

Truth is eternal permanence. Therefore, anythng that is not eternally permanent is not Truth. It may be true, but it is not Truth.

The Soul knows itself only as it knows itself as Spirit.

The Infinite can never be exhausted.

The wise man sees the truth in different religions. The fool sees only the differences.

Religion is a journey, not a destination.

The object of preaching is to constantly remind humankind of what they are constantly forgetting.

Though divided by creeds, we can unite with deeds.

We can never be the better for our religion if our neighbour is the worst for it.

Religion should be our steering wheel, not our spare tire.

A Christian is never in a state of competition, but always in the process of becoming.

If your morals make you dreary, depend on it -- they are wrong.

Religion is meant to be bread for our daily use, not cake for special occasions.

Your true religion is the life you live, not the creed you profess.

True religion is the developing of one's Soul.

Hosanna or crucify? Which is the word you cry?

God in Christ, that is Christmas. Christ in us, that is Easter.

The Christian life that is joyless is a descredit to God and a disgrace to itself.

Religion is like a bank in that neither one pays dividends unless you make deposits.

When you throw out the Christmas tree, be careful not to throw out the Christmas Spirit with it.

I have never heard anything about the resolution of the apostles, but I have heard a great deal about the acts of the apostles.

The Soul of the Christian religion is reverence.

Matthew presents Jesus as the Royal Saviour. Mark presents Jesus as the Servant of Man. Luke presents Jesus as the Son of Man. John presents Jesus as the Son of God.

Jesus is the great example, not the great exception.

At Christmas, Jesus is the reason for the season.

O Christ Thou Son of God, my own eternal Self.

At Christmas, consider not so much the gift, but the friendship of the giver.

It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.

Conviction is worthless unless converted into conduct.

The Soul enters heaven when heaven enters the Soul.

If you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Sow a thought, reap a word. Sow a word, reap a deed. Sow a deed, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny.

I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

The Infinite can never be exhausted. The more we use of the Infinite Intelligence and Substance, the more there is available for our use.

Count your blessings and make your blessings count.

Light is not that which is seen, but that which sees.

Never curse the darkness, for it led you to the light.

The law you keep, keeps you.

Principles are to guide one's life, not to restrict it.

Lord, grant me the patience to endure my blessings.

Adventure is not outside a person. It is within.

It is a true miracle when a person finally sees themselves as their only opposition.

The highest reward for man's toil is not what he gets for it, but what he becomes by it.

The Church is like a bank. The more you put into it, the more interest you have.

Never do what you cannot ask God to bless.

May the special joy of the Spirit of Christmas remain in your heart to bless you all year.

Everybody wants to live a long time, but nobody wants to get old.

How we give, far more than what we give, is returned to us blessed and multiplied.

Right is right, even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.

Peace rules the day when Christ rules the heart.

The real unity of the Church need not be organized. If it is exercised, it will be recognized.
