Notes:Canadian wine drinkers are familiar with the Niagara region's quality designators. Europe also has such designators depending upon the country. Within each country, certain regions carry quality designators. It narrows our search by giving us further selection criteria (based on current merits of wines). A standard for each countries' regions has been delegated. We can use them to choose our level of quality. However, we must explore cost / benefit analysis. After all we want a high quality product but it cannot be so dear as to be inaccessible by the majority of microvintners. *It is very important to remember that wines to the far right will be truly exquisite and can be quite expensive and hence so will the pure fresh grape juice. Wines that have the quality designators from the far left will be of low quality and generally lack particular merit. Our choice of DOC, QbA, and AOC vinifera grape juices combines higher than average quality at an affordable price for the microvinter. |
