Email submitted by Bill Chesbro On December 14th I had the occasion to visit the Toronto Hospital and the Peter Munck Cardiac center. During my visit to the Hospital, while waiting for an X-Ray I had the good fortune to meet a young 15 year old girl by the name of Julia, last name unknown. Julia was spending a few days in Toronto undergoing many tests. I had a brief conversation with her while waiting our turn in the X-Ray department. Julia had undergone a double lung transplant, and I was much impressed with her courage and her outlook about having had such major surgery. |
Some
times we spend a lot of time worrying about out own illnesses that we often
forget about all the others in the world whom are undergoing much more
stress and worry.
On returning home to Burlington, she was much in my thoughts, after a couple of days of thinking about her I have realized that I was the winner in this encounter, as it has caused me to think more about the less fortunate than myself. I now
know that I was truly TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL. May GOD Bless Julia and all
her family, she is surely a credit to the Community of Stratford.
(EDITORS NOTE: This email was received in December 1998. If anyone knows Julia, please send an email to us ). |
