Take a trip along Hwy 19 North East from Stratford, and be sure to stop along the way at Anna Mae's Restaurant in Millbank, for some REALLY GOOD homemade Mennonite food..
In the Fall you should visit the Wellesley Apple Butter Festival; Elora Gorge has some astounding scenery, and culture abounds at the Elora Festival.
A little way beyond Elmira on Hwy 86 still you will see a sign to West Montrose; here you will see an original covered bridge. (Sigh--shades of the Bridges of Madison County!)
If you happen to get lost near Linwood, make sure you go into the local pub for pigs'tails (but only if you are allowed an unlimited cholesterol diet!).
In the evening for a lighter entertainment make reservations to see a production at the Drayton Little Theatre.
