My wife and I drove up to the Lake District U.K. from the south (Dorset) for a week end to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary - at the same hotel - hard to believe it was forty years ago.
Of course, the area has changed tremendously. The traffic is like Piccadilly Circus - it's even difficult to cross the road and there is nowhere to park.
We were stuck in the heavy traffic outside Birmingham and it took us nine hours to travel a mere 340 miles.
