A Postcard from St. Ives, Cornwall, U.K.
9th July
Dear D & A:
Made it here through very thick traffic .. You know the
roads to Cornwall in the summer !!!
We actually had two days fab weather .. What a surprise!
Just started to use video camera in earnest, only hope
what I've taken comes out all right, as scenery is very nice.
St. Ives. Cornwall, is one of Britain's most beautiful towns.
A fishing harbour set in one of the innumerable inlets along
Cornwall's rocky coast, St. Ives, with its narrow streets and
picturesque old houses, is a favourite haunt of artists and an
ideal centre for those who wish to explore the westernmost tip
of England's coast. St. Ives takes its name from St. Ia, said
to have come from Ireland in the 5th century. The 15th century
church is dedicated to her. Here you will find all the amenities
for an enjoyable holiday.
