(a) Dry Falls,
Washington Scablands, the rock face of the falls is about 120 m high.
(b) Flood deposits
of the Washington Scablands. Poorly sorted, gravel to fine sand with angular
clasts of locally derived basalt interbedded with horizontally stratified
medium to fine sand. The conformable bedding indicates rapid sedimentation.
