Nova Scotia Cat Fanciers' First CFA Allbreed Cat Show
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
July 3-4, 1999

Sunday, July 4
Ah-h-h! Finally, a chance to sleep in!

According to CFA Show Rules, I couldn't exhibit because I was in the company of an officiating judge, so the kids and I got an extra 40 winks while their Mom went off to begin her judging assignment ... 117 cats were entered.

We packed up the van and strolled over to the show hall around noon. The atmosphere was very friendly and it didn't take long to make some new acquaintances and renew some old ones. I even managed to win one of the 50/50 draws shortly after I arrived at the show. It bought some more raffle tickets and what was left came in handy on the trip home.

Because there were Sunday judges in our midst, we were unable to attend the show on Saturday. We were too busy sightseeing anyway. The show photos displayed here are from Sunday only.

Congratulations to Nova Scotia Cat Fanciers on a terrific first show.
Hopefully, it will be the first of many more to come.

As soon as judging was completed, we said our good-byes and headed across Nova Scotia to Digby to catch the 8:45 pm ferry to St. John, New Brunswick.

We managed to fit in a good dinner complete with the best seafood chowder I've ever had, find an open gas station on a sleepy Sunday night in Digby (no easy feat when you're running on fumes!) and make it aboard the ferry on time.

These are the last photos of our trip.

And what trip would be complete without at least one beautiful sunset?
